Jumu’ah Prayer

Join us for Jumu’ah Prayer every Friday at 1:15 PM in the Aberystwyth Masjid (location).

Allah states in his blessed Book (the Qur’an):

O believers! When the call to prayer is made on Friday, then proceed ˹diligently˺ to the remembrance of Allah and leave off ˹your˺ business. That is best for you, if only you knew.

Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

Jumu’ah is a sacred congregation where we gather for a Khutbah (sermon) and congregational prayer. Arriving early is a recommended practice, and reading Surah Al-Kahf on Fridays is encouraged for blessings.
