Membership to the Aberystwyth Islamic Society costs £5 for the full year and is open to open to any students, staff, and members of the community.

Anyone wishing to obtain membership must do so through our page on the Aberystwyth Students’ Union website.

Students who have not joined any society previously will need to pay a one-time insurance fee of £6. Please note that this amount is not collected by us and we have no influence or control over it.

Steps to Join

1. Visit our Students’ Union page.
2. Click on Log in at the top right corner, then select Student Log In.
3. Login using your university email and password.
4. Once you’re back at the Islamic Society page, click Add to Basket next to Student Membership Full Year 24.25.
5. Click on the Added to Basket text, then scroll down to the bottom of the page.
   1. If you do not have Team Aber Insurance, you will need to purchase it by clicking the red Add button. (this is charged by the Students’ Union once, regardless of how many societies you join.)
6. Click Proceed to Checkout, then enter your Billing Information, and click Pay Now.
7. Select your payment method (if applicable.)
8. Enter your card information, then click Confirm card details.

When done, you’ll be taken to page titled Transaction Details with a reference number. This means you’re now officially a member of AberISoc!

WhatsApp Groups

AberISoc currently assists in managing WhatsApp groups for both students, staff and Aberystwyth residents who are Muslim or interested in Islam. It’s a great way to meet fellow brothers & sisters, ask questions, and keep up-to-date on our events and activities.

Once you’ve purchased your membership with us, you can also join the exclusive WhatsApp group for members.
